Energy Recruiters has partnered with a leader in the asphalt industry to support their search for a Regional Operations Manager. The role provides operational leadership and technical support for the Regional Terminal Operations.
$95K to $125K + bonus
Southern VA, NC Triad region or Central SC
Provides leadership and ensures the proper training and development of terminal staff in each of their respective areas of the terminal facility; fosters cross training of staff in the multiple positions and areas within terminal operations.
Assists with development of capital improvement and expansion projects, project budgeting, and project management on the local scale to ensure on time, on budget, quality constructed projects.
Assists in developing, implementing, and maintaining preventive maintenance procedures and schedules. Ensures terminal production schedules and operations meets need for customer demand and product delivery with terminal managers.
Directs terminal managers in coordination with sales staff to ensure manufacturing volumes meet forecasted products and demand whenever possible and guides notification whenever demand cannot be met.
Sets the standards for safety, use of PPE, plant organization, housekeeping, environmental stewardship and reporting at each facility.
Coordinates with Director of EH&S and their reports to ensure facilities remain compliant in training, recordkeeping, sampling, reporting, inspection readiness, documentation, plan preparation and upgrades, and facility drills.
Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry or Business preferred.
Minimum 5 years’ prior experience with leading asphalt terminal operations and product receipts by truck, rail and barge or alternately within a chemical processing environment.
Polymer processing and emulsions a plus.
Proven track record of operations leadership, team building and personnel development.
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
Valid TWIC Card or the ability to quickly acquire TWIC approval.
Valid Driver’s License required.
Travel Requirement – 40-60%
