Energy Recruiters is supporting a highly respected, diversified trading & marketing company in their search for a Chief Operating Officer. In this Executive role, you will be accountable for the overall performance of the business. This opportunity is based in the Upper Midwest and will support business operations in 40 US states, Canada, and Mexico.
Based on Experience
Accountable for the overall financial performance of the business
Prepare and deliver the road map that aligns short term goals with the organization’s strategic plan.
Communicate short-term and long-term objectives and actions throughout the organization from front line to company ownership
Support the budgeting & financial planning activities for opex and capex investments
Analyze the financial performance of past, present, and expected operations to identify development opportunities and areas where improvement is needed.
Evaluate M&A opportunities that align with the company vision and successfully integrate newly acquired businesses
Lead recruitment, retention, and succession planning efforts across key roles in Sales, Operations, Supply/Trading, and Finance/Accounting
Develop and manage key sales, operational, and customer service metrics to support your Team
Steward a safe work environment for all employees and customers
Lead the organization to a Best-in-Class culture for Customer Service
Establish and maintain key relationships that are critical to the success of the business
Provide transparency on success, failure, performance, and projections throughout the organization
Documented accomplishments in business and Team leadership.
Expert understanding of the downstream commercial supply chain of refined products and other physical energy commodities.
