Energy Recruiters has partnered with a petroleum refiner to support their search for a Process Engineer. The position acts as subject matter expert in limited process engineering roles and provides leadership/support to operations team within area of responsibility.
Based on Experience
Skilled in utilities applications including Cogen, Boilers, Sulfur Recovery Unit, Amine, Sour Water and Water Plant.
Demonstrates knowledge of the application of Sulfur Recovery or limited roles with Process Engineering or plants; has comprehensive knowledge of plants within area of responsibility and how Process Engineering supports them.
Demonstrates application of some Process Engineering and process improvement tools including Process Modeling, Statistical Analysis software, and tools for efforts that affect multiple functional areas.
Successfully mentors other Process Engineers, functional workgroups, and leadership.
Responsible for on boarding of new Process Engineers; independently delivers some process training, process reviews, and assists with training material revisions.
Provides a leadership role within area of responsibility, company business and partners.
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering with 7 years’ process engineering experience within a petroleum refinery or petrochemical environment including min. 2.5 years directly supporting Operations.
Experience with business planning, continuous improvement, and renewable project development or management is desired.
Min. 5 years’ experience supervising or performance management of hourly and/or contracted employees in a complex environment.
Ability to interpret equipment and process drawings such as; P&ID’s, PFD’s and piping isometrics.
Experience and knowledge of CMMS. Infor EAM experience is preferred; proficient in Microsoft Office
Working knowledge of PSM and safe work practices.
Possess a valid Driver’s License.
