Energy Recruiters has been engaged to support our client in their search for a Director of Sales Operations.  In this role, you will be accountable for Teams managing the bid desk, inside sales, customer service, and cardlock programs. Additional responsibilities include customer set ups and onboarding, pricing and supply market analysis, customer pricing, supply optimization, billing coordination, and cross selling for larger share of wallet.

Manage & lead a team of Inside Sales reps, the bid desk, Customer Service Manager & Cardlock Manager 

Recruit, interview, and select new employees for Sales Operations.

Utilize pricing system as a centralized fuel pricing and quoting system, leveraging the supply, pricing and logistics process in an efficient and consistent manner across the entire organization.  

Set up all customer quote profiles and customer account maintenance in the pricing system. 

Performs fuel cost and supply analysis to assist in the generation of new business and execution of our bid desk program offering. 

Manages relevant price feeds to execute on customer needs, including spot, OPIS, Cash Index, and NYMEX into PDI and DTN.

Communicate with internal and external customers via phone, email, or letter. 

Support sales teams in onboarding new customers.

Creates both standard and custom reports requested by operations, sales, and management.

Provides strategic sales initiatives and goals in collaboration with Regional Sales Directors.

Incorporates metrics on customer and business level data points identifying trends to optimize resources optimizing margins.

Creates and incorporates business goals in alignment with individual and enterprise level initiatives.

Expert knowledge of market data analysis

Establish, design & build an account management Team to support the outside sales Team.

Create structured review within the enterprise CRM system to establish performance-based expectations and data points throughout the organization.

Provide visibility to business demands needed to execute on new business growth as it correlates with our internal stakeholders.

Act as a business liaison between operations, supply & back office.



10 years’ experience in sales analytics, customer service, or operations role in a B2B sales environment.

Strong analytical and conceptual skills. 

Previous experience/exposure with ERP systems.

Strong Teamwork and Organization Development skills.

Demonstrated experience in translating business needs into technology requirements.

Outstanding communication (oral, writing and presentation skills).

Demonstrated ability to work well across multiple teams and personalities in a corporate environment.

Responsive to the needs of internal and external customers with sense of urgency and commitment to follow up.

Ability to work with little supervision and effectively use problem solving skills.

Advanced computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Power Point.

Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills with attention to detail.
