Manages credit risk and coordinates activities of those engaged in conducting credit investigations for new and existing customers and collecting delinquent accounts across various industries.
Engages in and supervises employees investigating and verifying financial status and reputation of prospective customers applying for credit, preparing documents to substantiate findings, and recommending rejection or approval of applications.
Manages overall credit process including, but not limited to, account evaluation and set up, annual reviews of existing customers, collections, etc.
Reviews and evaluates applications, substantiated data, and recommendations, in order to determine credit validity. Establishes credit limitations on customer's account.
Determines responsibility for collecting on delinquent accounts to specific employees and monitors overall process.
Prepares and reviews collection reports and portfolio trends to ascertain status of collections and balances outstanding and to evaluate effectiveness of current collection policies and procedures.
5-10 years of experience in Credit or Finance.
Management and budgeting experience.
Software experience: AS400, E1, Firestream, Great Plains, and Intevacon, in addition to Windows based software such as the complete MS Office Suite, and Adobe.
