Energy Recruiters is engaged with an established, respected wholesaler in their expansion of commercial trading & marketing capabilities.   In this role, you will be part of an entreprenurial Team that is developing key markets across the US.  With operations support, you will be both customer and supplier facing.   We are seeking professional Traders across a variety of product lines including gasoline, distillate, NGLs, propane, and others.   



Remote/Home Office



Based on Experience



Lead market development of a profitable commercial portfolio to include short, supply, and trading opportunities

Physical trading activity, both spot and term, in pursuit of both optimal system supply and trading profits

Build and develop marketing/customer relationships into a variety of channels including retailers, wholesalers/resellers, and large end user

Develop trading strategies; initiate and manage physical and financial positions for risk management and profit  

Manage price exposure for positions, risk management. and hedging strategies

Accountable for optimization of supply for your book/system requirements and for book trading positions PnL

Collaborates with commercial operations to manage physical inventories consistent with supply requirements and financial market structure.

Represents the company externally with suppliers, counterparties, and vendors

Seek out and identify market opportunities 

Embed optionality to reduce exposure in trading positions and trade books, interpret financial information, integrate information from a variety of sources, detect trends, associations, and cause/effect outcomes.

Negotiate both short and long-term contracts



BS degree in Business, Engineering or other related discipline

At least 5 to 7 years trading experience in domestic physical product markets.

Must have record of delivering >$10 million in profit over past 4-6 years

Prior trading experience in financial markets (futures, spreads, options, swaps, etc.)

Understanding of products transportation modes/systems including pipeline, rail, barge/vessel, and rolling stock

Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills

Proven negotiation skills
