Energy Recruiters has partnered with an integrated North American Refiner to support their search for a Commercial Leader to grow their Asphalt and Industrial Products portfolio. In this role, you will contribute to strategic commercial marketing initiatives for a diverse range of products in global and domestic markets.

Responsibilities
Develop marketing and commercial strategies to optimize product pricing, marketing, and market positioning.
Develop commodity and asset-specific trading strategies focused on enhancing refinery margins and creating new value opportunities
Lead and mentor a team of traders, marketers, analysts, and support staff.
Develop trading tactics and collaborate with front, middle and back-office teams.
Implement trading structures and risk management strategies to mitigate market and operational risk
Participate in the marketplace with key account ownership and trade association involvement
Identify and develop new business development opportunities inside the refinery gates as well as in market
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Commerce, Engineering or equivalent
15 years of related experience managing refined product marketing, value chain optimization activities, trading and/or logistics functions
Deep commercial experience in asphalt, intermediate products (e.g., VGO, decant oils, etc.), and byproducts (e.g., pet coke, sulfur, etc.)
Proven track record of leading and developing teams with a focus on executional excellence
Demonstrated experience in preparing and maintaining fiscally responsible budgets, strategic plans, and sales plans
Extensive experience in business development, relationship building and driving sales growth
