Energy Recruiters has partnered with a premier, national fuel distribution organization in their search for a Business Development Manager.


$65,000 - $80,000 plus Bonus/Commission, medical/dental, 401K, and more


Multiple locations may be viable; inquire on your specific geography


Responsible for the growth of bulk crude and/or chemical transportation services and maintenance of existing customers to meet operational needs and allow for growth over a region west.

Work closely with operations team leaders and senior management to develop, implement, and manage day-to-day sales operations.

Assists with development and management of brand relationship.

Represent company to customers and local, civic, and industrial organizations.

Assist in creating, implementing, and monitoring sales infrastructure to enhance and support operations, including sales reporting, analytics, KPIs, and overall sales alignment.

Develop and define key metrics and reporting systems, facilitate data reviews and performance analysis to gauge execution and adjust sales strategy to enhance effectiveness and productivity.

Collaborate with operations team leaders on account bids, RFPs, and contract quotations and to ensure that all internal teams are appropriately informed for successful account on boarding/integration.

Analyze service issues and develop creative solutions to improve customer satisfaction.

Work with key external business partners to coordinate overall sales efforts.

Assist in the development of plans to ensure readiness to meet customer and business demands.

Attend various customer, association, and networking meetings/events to increase knowledge and exposure while building brand.

Benchmarking and competitive intelligence to define strategies that position business units to be the best in core markets.

Ability to prospect, negotiate, and close key strategic relationships across all lines of business.


5+ years experience in sales/marketing of trucking/logistics/petrochemical industry

Proven success in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with emphasis on execution.

Must have attention to detail, a commitment to quality, be results-driven and customer-focused.

Ability to develop clear action plans and drive processes across numerous levels.

Strong problem-solving skills, analytical capabilities, leadership, and relationship-building skills.

Outstanding energy and drive, with both the self-sufficiency required to maintain individual performance and complete commitment to bolster supportive teamwork.

Effective written, verbal and presentation skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Ability to travel as needed.

Experience with multi-state and/or international logistics is preferred.
