This position is responsible for leading the engineering aspects of store physical plant, infrastructure and equipment in coordination with key stakeholders.
This position functions as a shared resource supporting all engineering design concepts for all equipment.
This position works cross functionally and collaborates with energy, store planning, facilities, construction, marketing, merchandising, real estate, and our national architectural and engineering firm.
Work with Engineering, Facilities, Construction, Store Planning, Store Design, Merchandising, Procurement and Real Estate on various initiatives as they relate to the design, functionality, and ensuring store standard changes are properly approved and documented.
Ensures prototypes and standards are updated and communicated multiple times throughout the year.
Manages our national Peer Review A&E firms to ensure accuracy, adherence to standards, and that appropriate processes are followed regarding changes to the plan standards.
Communicate spec changes to all stakeholders. Store Planning Manager works closely with Regional Construction Managers and Construction Managers to ensure compliance with construction documents, design, image, code compliance and standards.
Responsible for processing and approving all exception requests and channel them to appropriate authorities for the final decision.
Implement changes after the testing is completed and change is approved by working with vendors, consolidators, A/E firms, and Procurement.
Bachelor’s / MS degree In Engineering or Architecture (preferred).
Minimum of 7 years of work experience relating to Store Planning, Engineering and or A/E experience.
Must have strong Food Facilities Design/Engineering background.
Strong technical communication skills, negotiation and customer satisfaction skills.
AutoCAD skills required.
Strong problem-solving skills are essential.
Ability to manage people, suppliers, and consulting firms (business partners).
Ability to take initiative and effectively operate with general direction.
Must be a team player committed to working in a quality environment.
