Energy Recruiters has been engaged by a diversified energy marketer to support their search for a Director of Energy Services.   

 

Location

Relocation to Ohio preferred; Home Office considered for experienced candidates

 

Compensation

$80,000 to $120,000 + Bonus, Health, 401k, Vacation, Relocation Assistance

 

Responsibilities

Build, lead, and support a strong team through effective recruiting, selection, mentoring, development, communications, and performance management

Manage all consulting and brokering personnel and activities

Manage client relationship and follow-up with all customer inquiries within one business day or less

Provide all customers with consistent, quality service in accordance with company procedure 

Be up to date on all regulatory action in the natural gas and electricity industries, not limited to deregulation, tariffs, special rules, etc. 

Conduct sales and periodic customer review meetings

Monitor forward pricing and regulatory changes

Negotiate energy supply and transportation agreements

Responsible for P & L

Lead the sales and analytics groups as well as take on the role of lead consultant

Complete all quarterly objectives as agreed and committed

 

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in management of related field or 10+ years’ experience in engineering, business management, or related field

Working knowledge of deregulated energy markets is required

Specific experience in PJM is preferred

Gas/electric utility experience is a plus

High level of understanding of electric and natural gas transmission tariffs and the ability to explain and sell deregulated energy products is required

Familiarity with state and federal energy regulations is essential

Exemplifies and communicates the values of initiative, responsibility, caring relationships, integrity, and innovation

Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop team members

Ability to multi-task while managing highly detailed information

Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills 

High level of proficiency in computer technology including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook 

Detail oriented and must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Valid driver’s license, access to a motor vehicle, and capacity to travel
