Energy Recruiters has partnered with a leading petroleum refiner to support their search for an Analyzer Engineer. The position will be responsible for reliability improvements for refinery analyzers.
Based on Experience
Subject Matter Expert (SME) for analyzer equipment class with a strong knowledge of the application and interpretation of that equipment.
Work closely with the process, mechanical & technical groups for solution building.
Provide root cause failure analysis expertise and support as needed for equipment failures.
Track, evaluate and report refinery key performances indicators and evaluate any improvement opportunities.
Write procedures for troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining analyzers; prove assistance to instrumentation techs.
Order parts, materials, equipment and help facilitate outside repairs.
Follow refinery safety procedures and assist with developing safe work practices for analyzers.
BS in Electrical or Chemical engineering.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the oil and gas or chemical industries supporting instrumentation in a plant environment.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication, and computer skills.
Knowledge of analyzers: CEMS, Gas Chromatography, Spectroscopy and sample system design.
Knowledge of: PLC/HMI systems, DCS systems, data acquisition systems.
Knowledge of industry standards: NEC, NFPA, API and ISA.
Willing to be available outside of normal working hours to direct troubleshooting and repairs.
