Responsibilities
Category management duties including procurement, merchandising, inventory control, vendor relationships, marketing & promotions with particular focus on center store
Financial responsibility including sales, profitability, product movement, new item and category trends, and schematics.
Manage retail pricing, create sales plans, and negotiate and manage all aspects of item procurement.
Develop and direct field operations programs, support, train and drive programs at store locations.
Collaborate with retail operations and marketing to maximize sales and profitability of programs.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field (Preferred)
4 years of related experience in the convenience industry as a Category Manager
Current and relevant experience in center store category management
Procurement knowledge, merchandising and/or category management background with working knowledge/experience in the convenience industry
Technical knowledge and understanding of convenience store operations and related technologies (register POS, receiving, etc.)
Data analysis experience as related to P&L, Excel, Oracle BI and other data warehouse systems
Proficient in Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn and utilize database tools in decision making
