Energy Recruiters has partnered with a leading biodiesel manufacturer to support their search for a Plant Manager. The position is responsible for plant operations and personnel.
Based on Experience
Operates complex Biodiesel Facility safely and reliably by complying with regulatory requirements
Makes plant and process decisions and performs process troubleshooting
Develop and leads 20 or more direct/indirect reports or multiple locations
Manage costs effectively.
Understands, monitors, optimizes and is accountable for operating costs within authorized budget. This includes variable and fixed costs as well as capital budget.
Identifies and implements opportunities to reduce costs within delegated authorization.
Partners with internal and external plant engineering and tech support resources to execute predictive and preventive maintenance to eliminate failures and unplanned maintenance.
Develops long and short term planning for improving safety, reliability and efficiency
Mechanical or Chemical Engineering degree.
5+ years process industry experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.
Experience with refinery processing equipment, production/operations/storage of fuels, and knowledge of state and federal regulations on safety and environmental impacts.
Technical and working understanding of the plant process – Refinery processes, Oils Hydrotreating, Steam Methane Reforming, Pressure Swing Adsorption, etc.
P&L and supervisory experience.
