Responsibilities
The General Operations Manager will have complete oversight of all transportation assets and operations
The core responsibilities of the position will be to facilitate profitable operations including efficient dispatch between all lines of business and strategize process flow to become a premier provider.
To be successful in the role, the manager will need a thorough understanding of transport dispatch & trucking of refined products
Lead dispatch to enhance efficiency, utilization, accuracy, and dependability
Interface with critical customers to provide the highest level of service.
Supervise the maintenance of vehicles ensuring maximum utilization, maximum life expectancy and safe operation.
Responsible for the recruiting, hiring, development, and performance management of all personnel including drivers, mechanics and support personnel at the facility.
Evaluate employee performance and insures proper training of employees as required in all functional areas, by establishing training goals and routinely reviewing each individual’s progress.
Participate in budget preparation and be responsible for meeting goals.
Prepares all reports and communications as required in a timely and accurate manner.
Responsible for ensuring the proper appearance, image and security of the facility and equipment.
Establish work rules and standard operating procedures for all terminal functions.
Requirements
Bachelor degree preferred
3-5 years of experience in a petroleum logistics, and/or transportation operations role.
Must have above average information technology capabilities
Must be able to communicate clearly and efffectively with both internal stakeholders and customers.
Attention to detail and the ability to follow established procedures is a must.
