Ensure the the health and safety of Team members and Customers
Manage the overall operational, budgetary, and financial responsibilities and activities of the current location and additional locations in development.
Lead employees in the operating unit in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.
Plan staffing levels; Interview, hire, and terminate as needed to support the health of the business and Team culture.
Support Team members through performance management and development processes that encourage employee contribution and includes goal setting and feedback.
Plan, evaluate, and improve the efficiency of business processes and procedures to enhance speed, quality, efficiency, and output.
Review performance data that includes financial, sales, and activity reports and spreadsheets, to monitor and measure departmental productivity, goal achievement, and overall effectiveness.
Appropriately communicate organization information through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, and appropriate email, IM, and regular interpersonal communication.
Perform monthly tobacco inventories and biannual inventory counts.
Oversee and perform orders for retail offering, restaurant, and smoke shop.
Manage fuel pricing and margins.
Perform monthly EPA walkthroughs.
Maintain a class A, B, and C certification for underground storge tank operation.
Prepare the Daily Sales Report (DSR).
Manage competitive pricing between vendors.
Previous Travel Center or multi-unit convenience retail operations management experience
Team building and leadership skills
Excellent communication and performance management capabilities
Proficient with Microsoft, Teams, and other IT systems
Strong work ethic and Team culture oriented
