Energy Recruiters has been engaged to support a highly successful, diversified Energy Marketer in their search for a Vice President of Wholesale Operations.  In this role, you will be responsible for strategic guidance as well as ensuring the operational excellence of the business.  

 

The ideal candidate for the Vice President position will be independently driven with a keen understanding of industry dynamics and long-term growth trends and threats.   This position will require an eye for detail, passion for operational excellence, as well as the ability to think big picture around scalable processes and future expansion.  

 

You will be accountable for the leadership and performance of the following business segments: 

Retail dealer and consignment

Rack sales  

Transport/spot delivered business 

Sales enablement (includes bid desk and national accounts/RFPs)

Responsibilities

General management of the Retail, Rack, Delivered, and National Accounts commercial portfolios to include people, process and performance 

Collaborate closely with shared services to design, implement and execute scalable processes for order to cash, supply, logistics, legal, IT, and HR  

Design, implement and monitor key performance indicators that drive profitability, accountability for results and customer satisfaction 

Design, implement and execute a sales commission/incentive program that drives the behaviors consistent with plan performance 

Design, implement and execute dynamic portfolio pricing and margin optimization/strategies 

Meeting routines/engagement with remote organization 

Establish, communicate and drive the strategic ambition for growth channels, markets, and complimentary M&A activity 

Direct engagement with strategic customer relations and ownership of the customer experience 

Development and management of strategic partnerships/relations to include supplier, carrier, service provider and equipment vendors 

Design, implement and administer portfolio pricing and margin optimization/strategies 

Develop and execute a marketing strategy for the wholesale organization that establishes a premier service, capability as a brand, dynamic sales collateral, a digital/social presence that wins hearts and minds, and a competitive intelligence function that keeps the value proposition relevant 

Drive business model innovation and adoption of technology that enhances customer/employee experience, automates core processes, and enables efficient scale 

Company representative/ambassador at industry conferences and events 

Management reports and presentations as defined by the business and executive management requests 

 

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree   

10+ years of multifunctional experience in the petroleum industry at the wholesale or distributor level  

Executive leadership experience 

Acquisition integration experience preferred

Analytical strengths using Key Performance Indicators, ROI, Process improvement, utilization, trends, etc. 

High level strategic thinker developing business plans, growth plans and synergies

Team and organization builder capable of instilling a family culture in the organization

Must be able to function in a high energy, fast paced environment
