The Vice President of Fleet Card Network Strategy will support a successful, nationally recognized fleet card processing network with fresh thinking regarding growth and value creation. We are seeking an experienced leader to have responsibility for ensuring the network’s optimal size, geographic reach, price and suite of complementary services.
The primary scope of this role is primarily to develop and optimize the network growth strategy by focusing on new merchant business development, existing strategic merchant relationship management, contract renegotiation and new service go-to-market development. This role will have significant senior management exposure and a critical impact on the continued success of the company.
Based on Experience
Develop and own the network growth strategy while optimizing and maintaining its limited acceptance network attributes.
Lead cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment (including IT, Operations, Customer Service, and Credit) to implement network change.
Produce and coordinate base portfolio analysis to maximize merchant engagement, revenue generation, and volume growth.
Monitor industry trends and developments in both the fuel payments space as well as adjacent fuel marketer market.
Establish and leverage merchant feedback to meet future demands and continuously improve the value proposition of the network’s products and services.
Maintain a long-term, big picture view, foreseeing obstacles/opportunities and generate innovative ideas and solutions that create a win-win for the network and merchant.
Contribute to the overall development of the network’s product roadmap and participate as a thought leader in regards to industry perceptions of existing products and technology.
Bachelor degree from a 4-year college or university with MBA preferred.
10+ plus years of experience in a combination of network management and/or strategy consulting roles required.
Experience in payments, downstream marketing, payment networks, or strategy consulting and a balance of experience at both large and small companies is strongly preferred.
