Energy Recruiters has partnered with a petroleum refiner to support their search for a Maintenance Superintendent. The position is responsible for overall safety, productivity, and general refinery maintenance.

Demonstrates commitment to health and safety, following safe practices and procedures, and striving for continuous improvement of safety and reliability in the refinery.
Ensures safety and regulatory rules compliance, including incident reporting and investigations, job safety analysis, process safety management, safety meetings, safety and housekeeping audits, and environmental permit requirements.
Provides overall field execution oversight in the restoration, repair, replacement, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance of rotating equipment, fixed equipment, mobile equipment, instrumentation, analyzers, electrical and general facility maintenance.
Leads the hiring, training, performance management of maintenance supervisors and hourly employees from multiple craft disciplines.
Leads the evaluation, safety assessment, and coordination of contracted resources.
Assists in developing/managing the refinery overall maintenance and department cost center budgets.
Develops and tracks KPI’s to drive improvements in the maintenance process.
Participates or leads meetings including operations coordination, maintenance updates, scheduling priorities, backlog reviews, staff meetings, supervisor training and other meeting as requested.
Communicates and interacts effectively with other functional teams, management, corporate network resources, contract and vendor resources, and hourly workforce.
Collaborates effectively with engineering to improve reliability of equipment.
Proactively manage preventive maintenance and predictive maintenance processes
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management with min. 7 years’ experience in maintenance or construction role within a refinery or petrochemical environment OR Associates degree or industrial trade certification with min. 10 years’ experience in a maintenance or construction role within a refinery or petrochemical environment.
Min. of 5 years’ experience supervising hourly employees in a complex environment.
Ability to interpret equipment and process drawings such as; P&ID’s, PFD’s and piping isometrics.
Experience/knowledge of CMMS. Infor EAM experience is preferred; proficient in Microsoft Office.
Possess a valid Driver’s License.
