Energy Recruiters has partnered with a leading manufacturer and distributor of specialty chemicals, fuel, and lubricant products to support their search for a Business Development Manager. The position is responsible for sales growth of additives and other chemicals to strategic customers in targeted markets.
Based on experience
Central, Midwest, or Northeast; remote/home office; located in/near a city with easy access to a major airport hub.
Develop a thorough understanding of product and service offerings becoming the subject matter expert
Know the assigned strategic targets inclusive of key customers and primary products including lube blenders, lubricant component users, aftermarket blenders, and others (metalworking, greases, etc.)
Proficiency in sales related administrative processes and protocols
Serve as a resource support for District Sales Mangers, Territory Reps, and Area Sales Managers
Bachelor’s Degree preferred in a science field, marketing, business administration
8+ years of proven success in technical sales (fuel and/or lubricant additives, specialty chemicals – highly desired)
Strong mechanical aptitude/technically competent to understand lubricant additive applications and sales opportunities
Strong account management and relationship building skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Willing and able to travel
