Meet Mike Buker

Mike Buker...
has worked over 18 years in the Petroleum Industry. However, his retail management experience began earlier in the Retail Drug industry with Drug Fair of Virginia and later moved into the Restaurant Industry with Corporate Pizza Hut. It was also during this formative time period that he spent several years working as a Police Officer in a Virginia Sheriff Department.

Mike's Convenience Store experience began with Shore Stop in 1986 and he spent the next 12 years learning retail operations. Mike worked and learned with some very knowledgeable people during this period the biggest thing he took away from these years was that work can, and should be, fun! In the 1990's he went to work with 7-Eleven. Mike was later offered and accepted a consulting position in with Cenex Petroleum, where he worked for several years. Most recently Mike was the Director of Operations at a Convenience Store Company in the Midwest .

The Industry responsibilities that Mike has held include the positions of Store Manager, Area Manager, Zone Manager and Director of Operations. His experience includes all operational aspects of the C-Store Industry to include training, marketing, budgeting, site development and Human Resource management.

Mike's goal as your Executive Recruiting Consultant is to place the right candidate with the right organization so both parties benefit positively from one another. Mike's down to earth style, knowledge and personal experience in the Petroleum Industry have made this a reality many times over!
